Originally titled “Rants,” the piece was published in September 2011 on a personal blog and is now being reshared across social media platforms. In the post, the writer reflects on intense loneliness, strained human connections, and a desire to isolate, expressing a preference for the company of pet cats over social interaction.
A specific excerpt receiving the most attention includes explicit personal disclosures in which the writer references being “homosexual, or bisexual, or bicurious,” and describes sexual attraction toward a male colleague. The post recounts experiencing arousal from certain actions by the colleague, comments that have sparked widespread online reactions—especially as they circulate alongside other resurfaced sexualised posts involving co-workers, animals, and minors.

Paystack announced on Wednesday that Olubi has been suspended from all responsibilities pending the outcome of a formal internal investigation. The company emphasized that it takes all misconduct allegations seriously and will not issue further statements until the review is complete.
