There are moments we long for, not because we lack love or effort, but because life has not yet aligned the right people, the right timing, and the right season to make them happen.
One thing I have never done is celebrate a festive period with a partner. Some people who know me well might even wonder if I am in a relationship at all. The truth is, I have chosen to keep that part of my life private because of the society we live in. It is something I may talk about someday, when the time feels right.
Back to the topic, I have never celebrated a festive season with someone my heart truly beats for. I have always imagined how beautiful and romantic it could be. Somehow, the right person is either far away or not present when those moments come around.
I often imagine spending that time indoors together, eating good food, watching endless movies, laughing at nothing in particular. Or better still, going out to have fun, returning home tired but happy, taking a warm bath, and falling asleep in each other’s arms, feeling safe and at peace.
Life, however, has a way of not always giving us what we want when we want it. From the outside, people may look at you and the way you carry yourself and assume you have everything figured out. But appearances can be deceiving. Not every silent heart is full, and not every smile tells the whole story.
Still, I remain hopeful. I believe 2026 will come with fulfillment, growth, and many of the things I have long desired, all contributing to a better and more meaningful life.
Tell me, what is one thing you deeply crave to experience during festive periods that you are yet to achieve?
