How to Apply for UNIPORT 2024/2025 Postgraduate Programmes

UNIPORT provides a range of programs to meet the diverse needs of the engineering community:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Engineering Management

Masters in Engineering Management with specializations in
Petroleum Engineering
Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering

2. PhD in Engineering Management with specializations in

Petroleum Engineering
Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering

Entry Requirements:

For PGD:

Completion of NYSC is required.
Minimum of Third Class Engineering Degree or HND with at least Lower Credit in any Engineering Discipline.
At least 5 relevant O’level Credit Passes.
Second Class Lower from any other Physical Science Fields for those without an Engineering background.

For Masters:

NYSC completion is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 O’level Credit Passes relevant to the field of study.
First Degree in any Engineering Discipline or PGD in Engineering Management.
Minimum of Second Class Lower Division.

For PhD:

A Masters in Engineering Management with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 or any Engineering Discipline with certification in Project Management or equivalent Management Experience in the Engineering Field is required.

Program Duration:

PGD and Masters programs last for 12 calendar months.
The PhD program extends over 36 calendar months, offering a comprehensive research and learning experience.

Application Process:

Prospective students can apply by following a straightforward process. A non-refundable fee of N20,000 must be paid into the specified account. Upon successful payment, applicants can collect the application form with printed proof of payment/teller from the office of the coordinator, Engineering Management Programme, located in the Faculty of Engineering Building, Abuja Campus of the University of Port Harcourt.
