EFCC reportedly uncovers bags of decayed money at Police Barracks in Makurdi - Watch Video - Gist Cent

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has reportedly discovered bags of decayed money at police barracks in Makurdi, Benue State. 

This recent development came a few weeks after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced changes to the Nigerian currency and withdrawal limits. 

The individual or organization that owns the decayed money is yet to be revealed, but Nigerians are already condemning the act of hiding such a huge amount of money until it decayed. 

Those who commented on various social media pages stated that what just happened is a wicked act, and anybody who is responsible for it should be punished. 

They said that people are already suffering, yet someone has the mind to waste such a huge amount of money instead of inviting it on humans.
